Die Pension Treidler befand sich in einem großen Haus nahe der einmündenden Riemerstraße, fast schon am Dr.-Karl-Lueger-Platz, der nach einem ungeheuer populären früheren Wiener Bürgermeister benannt war. Einige Häuser weiter in Richtung Ringstraße gab es das Kaberett Simpl und ein bekanntes Restaurant, in dem vorwiegend Rindfleischspeisen serviert wurden. Beide waren um diese späte Stunde schon geschlossen. In dem Haus, in dem in den zwei oberen Stockwerken, die Pension Treidler untergebracht war, gab es einen großen Buchladen und einen Kosmetiksalon.
