Imposant, aber sein schönes Grabmal in der Augustinerkirche gefiel mir noch besser.

Die Kirche zu Maria Stiegen, am Gestade. Die Entstehung dieser Kirche wird, wiewohl unerwiesen, auf das Jahr 882 gesetzt. Gewiss ist, daß sie im Jahre 1158 bestanden hat. Damals ward ihrer als Kapelle „zu Unserer Lieben Frau am Gestade“ gedacht. Die ausnehmend zierliche und geschmackvolle Bauart gehört den besten Zeitalter der altdeutschen Kunft an, und dürfte somit ins 14. Jahrhundert zu setzen sein, obgleich auch anzunehmen ist, daß Heinrich Jasomirgott sie schon erneuert hatte.
